How to add a page

You want to start a page on a new topic?

The Idea

In essence, you add a new page by going to a page that doesn't exist yet. The wiki will let you put in some text and save a new page.

How-to

1. You can edit an existing page and add a link to your new, non-existent page. (Like [[My new page]].) Save, then follow the link to the empty page, put in some text, and save it in turn.

1. You can simply go straight to the URL for your new page. Just edit the URL at the top of your browser window, and replace the title of the current page. Use underscores instead of spaces. So

title=How_to_add_a_page

becomes

title=My_new_page

Hit return, and the wiki will offer to let you edit the empty page.

Don't create islands

You probably don't want to spend time creating pages that no one will ever see. So when you create a new page, create a link to it in a logical place where it fits and where people may look for it.
