Trail Overview

Mount Fromme is considered by many to be the birthplace of freeriding. Located on the North Shore of Vancouver, BC, it contain insanely tough trails that have been built superbly well. The rockwork and armouring up here must be seen to believe. This system is proof that freeriding is best on sustainable trails.

How to find it

From Seattle:

  • Take I-5 towards Canada.
  • Take exit 275, the truck crossing
  • Say hi to the nice man at the border and politely show him your passport.
  • Continue north on hwy 15. This turns into 176th st.
  • Take hwy 1 (Trans Canada Hwy) west towards Vancouver.
  • Exit at Lynn Valley Road, go Right onto Lynn Valley Road.
  • Turn left on Mountain hwy and follow it almost to the end.

You can find a great place to park by going up Mountain Hwy and turning left on Dempsey Rd, go a bit up the hill and park where there are no houses.

Typical Conditions

Great year-round riding. The upper trails get snow in the winter and you'll need to survive the wet wood if it's been raining.

Current Conditions

A tiny bit of snow on the very first part of 7th Secret, but everything is clear and rideable.Justin 11:52, 16 April 2007 (PDT)

7/4/07: It's in beautiful shape, a few small puddles here and there, road isn't too dusty. Go ride!
